Staff Reporter :The BNP-led 20-paty alliance on Sunday announced that they would hold public rallies in four different districts in the country in October and November to drum up public support in favour of their key demand for fresh election under a non-party government system and other issues.BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is scheduled to address all the four rallies. Top leaders of the other partners of the alliance will also address the rallies. BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office announced the schedule of the rallies following a secretary general-level meeting of the 20-party alliance. Mirza Fakhrul presided over the meeting. According to the announcement, rallies will be held in Nilphamari, Natore, Comilla and Kishoreganj on October 23, 30, November 6 and 12 respectively. This will be the first series rally of the BNP Chairperson after pre-Eid threats to stir a movement against the present government.Khaleda Zia in a view exchange meeting on Saturday night urged BNP leaders and workers to get ready for a tougher anti-government movement in the coming days.
