Staff Reporter :Alongside its ongoing countrywide hartal-blockade, the BNP-led 20-party alliance on Sunday brought out processions at different parts of the country to press home their demands, including fresh polls under a non-party government system. As part of the countrywide programme, leaders and activists of the 20-party brought out processions at some areas of the capital city. However, the processions were sudden and for the short time. Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing ofthe BNP, brought out a procession at Shahbagh area in the afternoon. Leaders and workers of Dhaka University and BUET units of the organisation took part in the procession. Another procession was also brought out in Paribagh area. BNP Joint-Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed, on behalf of the 20-party alliance in a statement on Friday announced the mass procession programme in districts, upazilas, municipalities and thanas across the country. The programme was also called for protesting killings, enforced disappearances, abductions, and crippling of the opposition men by the law enforcers and ruling party cadres, mass arrest and filing of false cases against the 20-party leaders and workers.The 20-party men brought out processions in different districts and upazilas. Police foiled processions of the 20-party at several parts.
