BNP-led 20-party alliance has extended support to the nominee of Chittagong Unnayan Andolan and former Mayor Manzoor Alam in the next mayoral election of Chittagong scheduled to beheld on April 28 next.
A meeting of the alliance was held at the residence of city BN P president Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury at Mehdibag in city held yesterday evening.
Besides, the central , local leaders of BNP and leaders of alliance were present in it.
Central committee member of BNP Mahbubur Rahman told that local BNP unit extended support to Manzoor Alam and hence leaders and workers of the alliance irrespective of opinions committed to work for winning the Manzoor in mayoral race . The meeting unanimously extended support to AUC nominee Manzoor Alam.
