Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) on Wednesday discovered 20 gold bars, weighing 2 kilograms, worth Tk 1 crore.
Getting information, CIID in a drive found those gold bars beneath a passenger’s seat of a Bangladesh Biman landed from Malaysia to Hazrat Shahjalal
International Airport (HSIA) in the city.
Investigation of CIID revealed that there was no booking of the seat from which those bars were discovered.
Legal action has been taken according to the Customs law and further investigation will be continued in this connection.
