20 BNP, Jamaat men arrested

At least 20 more leaders of BNP and Jamaat-e- Islami were arrested by the law enforcement agencies across the country on Saturday.
In Dhaka, a former Member of Parliament and BNP leader Abdul Gafur Bhuiyan was reportedly arrested by DB from High Court area of the city at noon.
In Narayanganj, police picked up Nahin Mujtaba, son of a local BNP leader, from their residence at Sonargaon Bhaban of Narayanganj City during early hours of the day.
Nahin, son of ATM Kamal, general secretary of Narayanganj City unit BNP, is a college student.
Narayanganj Sadar Police Station OC Kamrul Islam said that Nahin was not detained. He was taken to the Police Station for interrogation.
In Gaibandha, at least three persons of Jamaat-e-Islam including Unit President Saiful Islam were picked up on Saturday morning.
In Chattogram, police arrested four people and Sabuktagin Siddiqui Makki, vice-president of Chattogram city BNP and another local BNP leader Tinku Das in separate cases on Friday night.
Abdus Salam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sundarganj Police Station confirmed the news to media.
In Brahmanbaria, a local BNP leader named Shariful Islam was arrested by Kosbah Sadar police of the district. He was the Organizing Secretary of Kosbah Upazila Unit.
Maruf Chowdhury, Personal Assistant of D Shahadat, alleged that Sabuktagin was arrested from the campaign procession.
Kotwali Police Station OC, Mohammad Mohsin, confirmed the news to media.
In Khulna, police arrested at least three persons including North district Jamaat Amir Imran Hossain on Friday night.
In Naogaon, at least two leaders were arrested by police on Friday night. They were identified as Jamaat leader Azaher Ali,38, and Bholo Miah,45.
