Gazipur Correspondent :
Police arrested two young men in possession of a foreign-made pistol, two rounds of bullet and 20 pieces of Yaba tablet from Pubail Rail Station Bazar in the city on Wednesday night.
The arrestees were identified as Nadim Hossain,30, a resident of Sapmara area, and Mamun Miah,34, a resident of Haribarir Tek area of the city.
Ekramul Haque, in-charge of Pubail police camp, said sensing the presence of the law enforcers, ¾ young men tried to flee when they were gathering in a tea stall of the area at about 11:45pm.
After a hot chase, police caught the duo while their other associates fled the scene.
Police also recovered a foreign-made pistol, two rounds of bullet and 20 pieces of Yaba tablet after searching their bodies.
A case was filed with Joydebpur Police Station in this connection.
