Two workers, including a woman, of a wig factory sustained burn injuries as a fire broke out at the factory atUttara EPZ on Monday.
The injured workers were identified as Yeakub and Asia. They were admitted to
Rangpur Medical College Hospital. Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at Evergreen Wig Factory around 11 am and soon engulfed the entire factory, leaving 37 workers including Yeakub and Asia injured.
On information, two firefighting units from Nilphamari Sadar and Sayedpur Fire Stations rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after one hour’s frantic efforts.
