Two workers of Western Marine Shipyard in Chittagong received burn injuryies after a gas cylinder exploded at a ship manufacturing factory at Kholagaon area under Patiya upazila early on Sunday morning.
The injured were identified as Ali Akbar, 60 and Mohammad Forkan, 18.
Both the persons hail from Lakhara village under Patiya upazila of the district.
Locals and workers said the two workers were injured by explosion of a gas cylinder while working at the shipyard in the early hours of that day.
Ponkaj Barua, Sub-Inspector of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost said the injured were admitted to the burn unit of the hospital.
Condition of one of the injured workers was critical, he said.
