Police have recovered bodies of two women from DND canal and Palashbari area of Ashulia on the outskirt of the capital in city.
The deceased were Akashi, 12, daughter of Anwar Hossain of Bamuil in Demra and another aged around 32-year could not be identified immediately.
The Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) recovered the body of the minor girl Akashi from the DND canal in the city’s Demra area on Thursday morning, one day after she had gone missing.

room, confirmed the matter, saying Akashi went missing on Wednesday.
Her parents who live at a staff quarter near Bamuile Bridge informed the matter to police on Wednesday. On information, divers from fire service went to the spot and recovered the body of Akashi from the DND canal around 7 am.
Meanwhile, police recovered a decomposed body of a woman from Palashbari area of Ashulia on the outskirt of the capital on Wednesday.
The deceased aged around 32-year could not be identified immediately. Police suspect that she might have been strangulated to death.
According to Ashula police station, the woman lived in the house with a man named Sabuj.
The owner of the house informed Ashulia police as he got bad smell coming out from the house. The police found the body tied with a scarf around her neck lying on the floor.
Sub-inspector Faridul Islam of Ashulia police station said, the body was taken to the police station and the police have been trying to identify her.
The police also said that Sabuj is on the run and has switched off his mobile phone after the body was recovered.
