An unidentified dead body of a housewife (23) was recovered from a ditch near Sadhur Battala in the village Noapara under Fakirhat Upazila in the district on Monday .
Md. Anwar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Fakirhat PS that being informed from the matter police rushed to the spot near Khulna-Mawa Highway and recovered the dead body from there and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for its autopsy. But the dead body could not be identified. It is guessed by the police that she was, perhaps, strangulated death by some one and it was thrown into the ditch.
Another report states that dead body of one Bithi Aktar (25), mother of 2 children and wife of one Hanif Shikdar of village Dobaria under Kachua Upazila in the district was recovered by the police from a pond of the village on Monday.
Police and the locals said that being informed of the matter Police rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body and sent it to Bagerhat morgue for its autopsy. She was missing in the evening of Sunday. In this connection a UD case was lodged with the local PS.
