Two lower court judges have been dismissed on charges of corruption and misconduct.
Those dismissed are Thakurgaon’s former District and Session’s Judge M Ruhul Amin and Khulna’s former Additional and Session’s Judge Mainul Haque.
The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry issued a gazette notification on Monday in this regard.
Earlier, the Supreme Court approved the dismissal of the two judges as the allegations brought against them were found to be true, said Rezaul Karim, senior information officer of the ministry.
The decision was taken at a full court meeting of the Supreme Court, he said.
