A female trafficking victim has been rescued and two human traffickers arrested at Teknaf in the district.
Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf model thana Md Ataur Rahman said a team of police led by deputy-inspector Golam Kibria conducted a raid at Maheshpara area of Teknaf and arrested two human traffickers. A female victim was also rescued during the raid.
The victim is identified as Aysha Begum, 16, hailed from Khulna. A trafficker is identified as Saddam Hossain, 30, son of Nurul Alam from Maheshpara of Teknaf.
