The executive magistrate of Chittagong Port Authority on Sunday sentenced two alleged thieves to imprisonment for six months. Rokeya Parvin, Executive Magistrate of Chittagong Port awarded Jashim Uddin,35, and Abdul Halim, 31, driver and helper respectively of a covered van to six months’ imprisonment for stealing electric wires from a container of NCT gate one.
Earlier security guards of NCT gate one caught them red handed when they were collecting electric wires illegally from a container around 11.45 pm and produced them before Port magistrate court that sentenced them to imprisonment for six months.
