Two suspected militants were arrested by Unit -8 of Rapid Action Battalion from Shariatpur and Patuakhali.
Issuing a press release on Friday afternoon from RAB-8 headquarter in Barishal revealed this fact.
The arrestees were identified as militant organization JMB members Azizul Huq, 26, an IT professional and son of Mujibur Rahman from Muradia village under Dumki upazila of Patuakhali, Mufti Abdul Hakim, 38, Madrasa teacher and Imam of a mosque at Dohar of Dhaka and son of Abdul Kadir from Naodoba village under Zazira upazila of Shariatpur district.
Major Khan Sajibul Islam, deputy commander of RAB-8, claimed on basis of tipoff the accused militants were arrested from Mirpur of Dhaka and Dohar of Shariatpur on Thursday evening.
In interrogation both of them acknowledged their involvement with militant organization JMB.
