2 students stabbed in a senior-junior conflict in capital

Two teen students were stabbed in a senior-junior gang conflict in the capital’s Jurain on Saturday night (Sep 17).
The incident took place on the Jurain Haji Khorshed Ali Road of city at 9 pm.
The injured students have been identified as Ashraf Zahid, 16, of class XII, and Rabbi, 18, SSC candidate.
After the incident, both injured students were rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The injured Rabbi’s father Jisan Bhuyan said that on Saturday night, the younger brothers of the area named Tuhin, Sajib, and some others called Rabbi and asked him to come outside. After a while, “I was informed that Rabbi has been stabbed in his left leg. Zahid was also injured in this incident. But I cannot say who stabbed Zahid.”
Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Incharge (Inspector) Md. Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter to the media saying that two students were stabbed in Jurain on Saturday night. They are undergoing treatment in the emergency department.
A case is supposed to be filed with the respective police station, he said.
