Two students were found dead in a residential hotel in the city’s Farmgate area on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Aminul Islam Sajal, 21, a student of Tejgaon College, and Mariam Akhter Jerin, 20, a student of World University, said Mozaffar, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Tejgaon Police Station.
Police recovered the bodies from the seventh floor of Samrat Hotel this afternoon, the police official said.
Tejgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Majharul Islam said, “They were boarded in the hotel identifying themselves as couple. But the hotel authorities could not get any response from the hotel and informed the police
On information, law enforcers recovered bodies around 3:30 pm.”
“Upon primary inspection, no marks of injury were spotted on their bodies, but a lot of sex-provoking tablets were seized from the site,” the OC said.
We are investigating the incident and trying to communicate with the families of the deceased as per recovering identity cards, he added.
