Staff Reporter :Two students committed suicide in the city’s Kalabagan and Tejgaon areas on Sunday.They were identified as Afsana Akhter Babli, 20, a second semester student in Software Engineering at Daffodil University, and Milon Miah, 18, a first year student of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute, police said. Kalabagan Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Dabir Uddin said, “Afsana was found hanging with the ceiling fan at her room of the house No.1/25/B on the First Lane of Kalabagan. She lived there with her family for two years.”She might have committed suicide for love affair around 12:15am, the police official said after quoting the victim’s father Abu Bakar.Police recovered the body following information and sent it to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for an autopsy. Meanwhile, police recovered another body of a college student in the city’s Tejgaon area early in the morning, said Tejgaon Thana SI Moniruzzaman. Milon might have committed suicide, the police official said.Police recovered the body in hanging condition on the third floor of a house in the area and sent it to DMCH.
