Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested two injured snatchers after a gunfight on early Tuesday morning.
They also recovered a hijacked camera of an Asian University for Women (AUW) student from their possession.
The arrestees were identified as Sheikh Farid and M Yousuf, both received bullet injuries.
AAM Humayun Kabir, Additional Deputy Commissioner of DB police, confirmed the news to the journalists.
He said the gunfight took place between police and the snatchers at Ambagar area under Khulshi Thana.
Acting on a tip off, a team of DB police conducted a drive in the area’s rail crossing at around 2:00am, Humayun added.
Earlier on February 21, some miscreants snatched AUW student Julia Davies’ camera while she was travelling on a rickshaw with her father at Tiger Pass area.
