Two siblings were killed in a clash between two rival groups of people over land dispute at Sanandabari South Lambagas village in Dewanganj upazila of Jamalpur.
The deceased were identified as Yusuf Ali, 45, and his younger brother Abdul Jalil, 35.
Both victims died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Saturday.
Local sources said, that an argument began over a piece of land on Friday. The argument turned into a fight and two brothers
were severely injured along with their father Aaran Haji.
The siblings were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.Yusuf Ali died on Friday midnight and Abdul Jalil died around 8 am on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, deceased’s father is fighting for life at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in Dhaka.
Mainul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Dewanganj Model Police Station confirmed the matter to the media that filing of a murder case is under process.
