Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a drive arrested two top leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) from city’s Bakalia area on early Monday.
The arrested were identified as Ismail Hossain, 30, and Saadur Rashid, 29.
A team of Bakalia Police, on secret information, arrested them from a rented house at Rasulbug Residential under city’s Bakalia thana, said Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bakalia Police Station.
“Both the arrested persons are top leaders of ICS and wanted in several cases filed for sabotage acts and vandalism,” the OC said, adding that they were shown arrested in a sabotage case filed with the Bakalia Thana last week.
