2 separate fire incidents in city, no casualties

Two separate fire incidents occurred in the capital city on Monday.
At Judge’s Court, a fire broke out at Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court in Old Dhaka on Monday afternoon.
The fire incident erupted around 4:45 pm when Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate KM Imrul Kayes was conducting his case proceedings session.
On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control within two hours, said Ziaur Rahman, Operator of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control room.
But there is no report of casualties or damage.
Meanwhile, another fire broke out at a sweeper colony in the city’s Tikaruli on Monday afternoon.The fire originated in the factory around 2:45 pm.
On information, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire around 3:15pm.
Rozina Akter, Duty Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room confirmed the matter to the media and said that the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
However, no causality has been reported from the sport so far and the amount of loss could not be ascertained immediately, she added.
