At least two school boys were killed in a road accident on Kiraton-Lakhpur road in Karimganj Upazila of Kishoreganj on Wednesday morning.
The victims were identified as Md. Mahin (12) son of Mizan Miah and Rajon (12) son of Md. Mahabub of Kiraton Fakirpara village in Karimganj upazila. They are student in class six of Dehunda High School.
Locals and Police said the duo was going to school on a bicycle around 9.45 a.m on their way, a brick-lader tractor ran over their cycle, leaving Mahin dead on the spot and Rajon injured seriously.
Initialy, Rajon was taken to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital. Later, he died on way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Kaimganj Police Station Officre-in-Charge (OC) Mominul Islam told the New Nation that we receving on information police rush to the spot and tractor was seized but driver fled away. Legal action will be taken in this connection.
