An anti-adulteration mobile court of Chittagong District Administration (CDA) fined two restaurants Tk 60 thousand in city’s Jubilee Road and Jamal Khan areas.
CDA Executive Magistrate Mohammad Ruhul Amin conducted a drive in city’s Jamal Khan area and fined Dawat Restaurant Tk 10 thousand for not maintaining cleanliness and realizing extra charges from the customers.
In another drive in Jubilee Road area, the court fined Caf, Jubilee Tk 50 thousand for not maintaining cleanliness and preserving food items in improper ways.
The penalties were made under ‘Consumers’ Rights Protection Act-2009′ and ‘Bangladesh Hotel and Restaurant Act-2014’, the executive magistrate said.
