Two members of Rapid Action Battalion, who were picked up by India’s Border Security Force (BSF), were released Tuesday night.
Lt Col Abdullah Al Mamun, captain of RAB-13’s Dinajpur Crime Prevention Company 1, confirmed the matter. He said the two RAB personnel were picked up by BSF men as they mistakenly entered an Indian village near Chiriport upazila of Dinajpur during a drive against drug dealers Tuesday afternoon.
“They were handed over to BGB through a flag meeting around 9pm Tuesday night,” he informed.
