Two members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) were injured as miscreants blasted crude bombs targeting them in Ramchandrapur Haat area of sadar upazila as the law enforcers went there to arrest a murder case accused on Thursday afternoon.
Ashikur Rahman, assistant director of Chapainawabganj Rab-5, said a team of Rab conducted a drive in the area to arrest murder case accused Azizur Haque Arzu.
In presence of the law enforcers, associates of Arzu blasted crude bombs targeting them at 6.00pm, leaving sub-inspector Emran Ali and Habildar Ganesh Chandra critically injured.
