Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said the government has undertaken two projects for modernizing the Department of Films and Publicity (DFP) to make it more dynamic.
Replying to a tabled question from treasury bench member Shamsul Haque Chowdhury in parliament on Wednesday, he said the project include construction of a 16-storied modern ‘Information Building’ at a cost of Taka 60.74 crore to begin in next fiscal year.
The other project is “Introduction of Digital Technology for Post Production Studio and Production of Documentary Films for DFP” to be modernized through digitalization at a cost of Taka 20 crore.
Inu said an initiative has been taken to buy three digital cameras with film recorder for post production equipment to cover the daily activities of Prime Minister as well as preservation and making those public.
