Two probe committees formed and six interrogated by police on Sunday after hanging body of a orphan child recovered from his room of Shishu Poribar (balok) (government boys orphanage) at Amtola area of the city on Saturday night.
Mosharraf Hossain, deputy director of social services directorate at Barisal, acknowledging the facts said the dead victim was identified as Md. Yusuf (13), a resident of room no. 9 at first floor of the orphanage building.
Yusuf returned from playground of the orphanage on Saturday evening.
However his roommates found his body hanging from roof at night. Officials of the orphanage recovering the body brought to the Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital, but the doctor on duty at emergency section declared Yusuf as dead.
