Two prisoners of Dhaka Central Jail died at two different hospitals in the capital Monday.
Abu Hanif, prison guard of Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Dudu Mondol, 70, from Jamalpur, Prisoner Number: 2420/A. He was serving a life-term sentence, and Ujjol, 38, from Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria. He was convicted of a murder case.
Dudu Mondol was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around
11:30 am in a senseless state. Later, on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Ujjol died at National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital.
Post mortem of the two bodies will be done at DMCH, Abu Hanif said.
