A Mobile court on Sunday fined Taka 14 lakh to much-talked-about Max Hospital and CSCR Hospital for negligence in treatment and use of . expired instruments in the operation theatre in separate raids.
The mobile court led by Executive Magistrate SarwarAlam also gave 15 days notice to Max Hospital authority to correct different irregularities.RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam conducted drives at different private hospitals and clinics in cooperation with representative fromDirectorate General of Health Services in Dhaka Dr Dewan Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, superintendent of drug administration Gulshan Jahan, RAB officials andmembers of other law enforcing agencies.
Mimtanur Rahman, assistant director (media) of RAB-7, said during thedrive that began around 11 am they fined the hospital for negligence intreatment and providing erotic pathological reports.Sawar Alam said during the drive the mobile court found differentirregularities inside the hospital.
Meanwhile, Mobile court traced irregularisties in operating pharmacies witout license, using of time expired surgical equipments at CSCR Hospital . In coordination of Health Directorate and Drug Administration, this mobile court was conducted, sources said.
Eia xecutive Magistrate Sarwar Alam told the media that a number of irregularities were found in CSCR Hospital including time expired equipments. Mobile court sources said CSCR has been convicted with fine of Tk.4 lakh. These hospital also warned for rectification in coming days, hospital sourcessaid.
