Two people were killed in a collision between a truck and a power trolley on the highway in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district. The deceased are Mizanur Rahman (60), son of deceased Sujat Ali of Purba Medda area of Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila and Mohiuddin (39), son of Zainal Abedin of Zafarabad area of Chandpur District Sadar.
The accident took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in front of Molla Brickfield in Shashai area of Budhanti UP upazila on Wednesday. Khantihata Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sukhendu Basu confirmed the incident and said that in the morning, an inter-district truck from Sylhet to Dhaka collided head-on with a diesel-powered power trolley coming from the opposite direction on the highway. 2 people were killed as there was no complaint from the guardian of the deceased; the body was handed over to the guardian of the deceased without post-mortem.
