Two members of Parbatya Chattogram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) were shot dead at Nobochharai in Baghaichhari upazila in Rangamati district on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identifewd as Risel Chakma, 25, and Barshan Chakma, 24, Baghaichhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) MA Manjurul Alam said.
The victims also activists of the PCJSS-MN Larma reformist group in the Hiltract area, the police official said
Police suspect that they were victims of a turf war, he added. Following the information from the locals, a team of law enforcing agencies rushed to the spot and recovered the unclaimed bodies, the OC said.
The bodies were sent to the Rangamati Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy, he said.
A case has been filed with the local police regarding the incident, he added.
