A case under Cyber Act has been sued before the Baizid thana police under CMP against two top officials of the reputed paint industry Elite Paint & Chemical Industries Ltd of Chittagong .
The alleged accused in the case are – General Manager(HR) Md. Abdul Awal and Deputy General Manager (Personnel) AK Azad . Former official Mojibul Islam filed the suit before the CMP police on Friday under ICT Act-2006 section 57(1) .
Officer In-charge of Baizid thana confirmed the lodging of the case to this reporter while contacted.
Mentionable that former officer of Elite Paint Mojibul Islam resigned from service on May 16 last and was released by office after handing over charge on June 15 last and accordingly issued clearance certificate by the factory but the factory authority published an advertisement in the Dainik Bangladesh Protidin under caption ‘Trace Mojibul Islam’ on August 21 last.
Mojibul Hoque termed the publication of the false advertisement is one of the defamatory to him and abuse of ICT act , the written statement of the suit said.
