The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) claimed to have arrested two members of Sarwar-Tamim group of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Siddhirganj upazila of Narayanganj district on Tuesday.
The detained men are Abdur Rahman alias Sohel, 25, and Faysal Ahmed, 44, hailed from Comilla, said our local correspondent referring to the handout of RAB-11.
RAB-11 Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) said that the elite force members detained the neo-JMB men from a house in Siddhirganj.
Sohel used to hold secret meetings with other JMB
members and was maintained communication with its new members. Besides, Faysal is a financer of the militant organisation, the RAB official added.
The detained persons confessed to being members of the neo-JMB, the elite force official said.
