Two motorcyclists were killed when their motorbike skidded on the road near the Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover’s Dholaipar point in the old part of Dhaka on Saturday.
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy. The two injured persons are now undergoing treatment at DMCH.
The deceased were identified as Mehedi Hasan Rifat, 19-a Class XI student of BAF Shaheen College of Dhaka, and Jahangir Hossain, 20.
Their friend Rabbi and a local security guard Anisur Rahman were also injured in the accident, said Mafiz Uddin, a Sub-Inspector of Jatrabari Police Station.
The accident took place at 5:30am when Rifat, Jahangir and Rabbi along with some other friend were returning from Mawa of Munshiganj, the police official said.
Jahangir succumbed to his injuries at Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital while Mehedi died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
