Two more accused in a case filed over the gang-rape of a woman in Subarnachar upazila reportedly confessed to their involvement in the incident before a court here on Thursday.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Nabanita Guha recorded the statements of Md Swapan and Ibrahim Khalil Bechu, said Jakir Hossain, inspector of district Detective Branch of police.
Earlier, a total six accused Salauddin, Abu lHossain,Mohammad Sohel and Jashim Uddin made confession over the gang-rape. On Sunday, seven accused-Sohel, Jasim, Badshah Alam Basu, Ruhul Amin, Hasan Ali Bhulu, Swapan and Bechhu-were placed on a five-day remand in the case.
Ten people have so far been arrested over the gang-rape.
The woman, a mother of four, was gang-raped at Charjubli village in the upazila on December 31 by a gang of 10-12 people allegedly being ordered by Ruhul Amin after the general election.
