Two more doctors have died of coronavirus in Chattogram and Bogura hospital on Friday.
Dr Abdul Latif died undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital. He was 64, the director of Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital, and a former student of Chattogram Medical College (17th batch).
Dr Gazi Saiful Alam Shapon breathed his last undergoing treatment at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bogura on Friday night. He was also 64, and the former deputy director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. A lifetime member of Bangladesh Medical College Association (BMA), he was formerly a student of Rajshahi Medical College (18th batch).
Bangladesh Medical College Association (BMA) President, Dr Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin, and General Secretary Md Ehteshamul Huq Choudhury, expressed deep shock at the recent demise of the two doctors, reads a press release.
With these latest deaths, 137 doctors and three dental surgeons have died of Covid-19 in the country so far.
