Two people died of coronavirus infections while 571 new cases detected across the country in the last 24 hours, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Friday.
“With the new cases, the death toll reached 170 and the total number of infected has reached 8,231,” said Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration) of DGHS, in a press briefing in Dhaka.
Dr. Sultana said that total 5,573 people were tested in 31 laboratories across the country since Thursday which is 12.25 percent more than the previous day.”
Besides, 14 more coronavirus infected patients recovered from several hospitals in the same period which taking the total recovery number to 174.
“In the last 24 hours, 175 people were put under isolation around the country,” She said.
