2 more BD Hajj pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

At least 31 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims have died of various reasons in Saudi Arabia so far.
The latest bulletin of the Bangladesh Hajj Management Portal under the Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed the figure of deaths early Sunday.
Among the deceased, 26 were males and five were females. Of the pilgrims, 26 died in Makkah, four in Medina, and one in Jeddah.
According to the bulletin, Shahnaz Asia Begum, 62, died in Makkah on August 3. She hailed from Tangail and her passport number was BW0958576.
This year, 117,527 Bangladeshi pilgrims in total have reached Saudi Arabia till August 3 to perform Hajj, the bulletin said.
Of them, 110,611 reached the country under private management while 6,916 under government arrangement.
Muslim pilgrims from all over the world will begin performing Hajj from August 10.
A total of 126,923 Bangladeshi pilgrims are set to perform Hajj this year both under government and private management, said the bulletin.
The first Hajj flight of the year left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on July 4 and the last flight will be operated on August 5.
The return flights are scheduled to start on August 17 and will continue till September 15.
