Two minors including a girl drowned to death in Chitagong district area on Wednesday in separate incidents. Local correspondent sources said a minor girl drowned in a pond at Amuchia village under Boalkhali upazila of the district on Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as Sabhia, daughter of Azgor Ali, hailed from Amuchia village under Boalkhali upazila of the district. Police and family sources said Sabiha, slipped into the pond while she was playing in the yard of her parent’s residence. Locals and family members rescued the victim in an unconscious condition and took her to Boalkhali upazila health complex, where the attending doctors declared her dead.
Meanwhile one minor boy named Javed (3) also died of drowning in a house yard adjoining pond of Halidia village under Raozan upazila on Wednesday afternoon .
The victim is the son of one expatriate Khorshed Alam of Haladia village. . Family members rescued the victim in an unconscious condition and took her to nearby upazila health complex, where the attending physician declared him dead, a correspondent sources said.
