Staff Reporter :Another seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped at Rayerbazar in the capital hours after a nine-year-old one violated at Mirpur. They were admitted to One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), said Sentu Das, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) at the hospital Police Outpost. DMCH’s OCC Coordinator Dr Bilkis Begum said forensic test of the two minor girls would be conducted on Monday.She said that evidence of rape was found in the primary examinations.Hazaribagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mainul Islam said that a couple complained to them on Sunday that their seven-year-old daughter was raped.Police immediately raided Rayerbazar and arrested one ‘Khokon’, said the police officer.”The girl’s father is a rickshaw puller and her mother works as a maid. The couple found their daughter in blood after returning home on Saturday night,” he said.”The girl told her parents that their neighbour Khokon was responsible,” the OC said.In another incident, a nine-year-old girl was raped at Mirpur’s Pirerbagh on Saturday night.The victim’s parents filed a complaint with the Mirpur Model Police Station in this connection, said Md Zahid, Sub-Inspector (SI) of the thana.He said that the victim was sent to the DMCH for medical examination. Police detained one Rasel for his suspected involvement in the incident.
