Two minor girls died from taking insect repulsive tablets in Rangabali upazila of Patuakhali on Friday night.
The incident happened in Charbarret village under Charmontaz union of the district.
The deceased were identified as one Mohsin’s daughter Shova and Bipul’s daughter Rozina.
Both of the deceased were aged around 11 and students of Class-VI at Charmontaz Siddikia Dakhil Madrasha.
Local sources said that the girls died from eating rice insect repelling tablets, together around 10 at the night.
Minal Krishna Mitra, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rangabali Police Station confirmed the matter to media.
