Two three-year old babies and a 11 year girl were allegedly violated in the two northern districts of Lalmonirhat and Dinajpur on Saturday afternoon.
The victims were rescued in a pool of blood and taken to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital and Dinajpur Medical College and Hospital respectively for medical test and treatment.
The rapists Habibur and Bimal Chandra, went hiding after committing the unpardonable crimes.
Put rapist Sohel was caught red-handed during raping an 11-year old girl in the Baura area of Patgram upazila on Saturday evening. The locals staged demonstration for immediate arrest of the miscreants and to punish them, Police said.
Md Mofizul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Patgram Police Station told The New Nation on Sunday night, “A local grocer named Habibur took the tiny girl in his lap when she was playing in their yard lonely in the afternoon. He took the chance of absence of the family members and violated the girl at a bamboo bush. After the rape, Habibur went into hiding to avert the arrest.”
The family members rescued the baby in a pool of blood in admitted her to the Patgram Health Complex and later shifted to the district Sadar hospital for better treatment, the police official said.
“We are trying to arrest the rapist after filing a case in this connection,” the SI said.
In the meantime, another 11-year old girl was violated in the same village of the upazila on Saturday night, he said.
Locals staged demonstration for the immediate arrest and punishment to the rapists, the SI said.
Besides, Birol OC Abdul Majid said, “Bimal Chandra took another three-year old girl in his lap when she was playing lonely in her house. He took the chance of absence of the family members and took her to a nearby bamboo bush and violated the girl. He also entered his fingers into the private part of the girl and blood came out from the injured spot of the baby.”
The family members rescued the baby and admitted her to Dinajpur Medical College and Hospital instantly, the OC said.
“We are trying to arrest the rapist,” the police official said.
A General Diary was filed with the police station in this connection, he said.
