2 madrasah students killed in Sylhet road crash

 Sylhet Correspondent :Two madrasah students were killed and four other people injured in a road accident at Nazirbazar under Osmaninagar Police Station in the city on Wednesday.The deceased, identified as Farhad Hossain, 8, and Shahran Ahmed, 8, hailed from Keshobepur village under the police Station.Both the deceased were class III students of Nazirbazar Darul Quran Madrasah.Officer-in-charge of Osmaninagar Police Station Zubayer Ahmed said the accident took place at about 9:00am when a Sylhet-bound microbus from Dhaka plunged into a ditch beside the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in the area after its driver lost control over the steering as its one wheel punctured.The microbus hit the two pedestrian students-Farhad and Shahran- while it was plugging into the ditch, leaving the duo dead on the spot.Besides, four microbus passengers were also injured in the accident.The injured were admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.Hearing the death news, some fellow students and teachers of the madrasah blocked the highway and staged demonstration there protesting the accident.
