Two persons stabbed each other over a trifling matter and succumbed to their injuries in a local hospital in Kushtia district on Sunday morning.
The victim were identified as Shamim Aktar, 23, son of Dabloo Mia in Chourahas area, and Sohan, 19, son of Tofazzal same area, our local correspondent reports quoting police.
The youths locked into an altercation centering setting fire to firewood, which Sohan, one of the deceased, brought from
the other’s house without his permission. At one stage, Shamim stabbed Sohan with a sharp weapon in his chest, and in no los of time Sohan stabbed his attacker with the same weapon, said Nasir Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kushtia Sadar Model Police Station.
The two, critically injured were taken to Kushtia General Hospital where doctors declared them dead instantly, the police official said.
The bodies were sent to Kushtia Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
