Two people were killed and 19 others injured when a truck overturned on Shahzadpur-Jamirta regional road at Parjamirta village in Shahzadpur upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Abdur Razzak, 30, son of Tanuk Ali and Babar, 50, son of Ramjan Ali of Bashuria village.
Shahid Mahmud, officer-in-charge of Shahazadpur Police Station, said the truck carrying 30-32 agriculture labourers skidded off the road and overturned after its driver lost control over steering, leaving 21 people injured.
The injured were taken to a local hospital where doctors declared two of them dead.
