Two persons including a woman were killed in two separate incidents in Kurigram on Wednesday.
Sources said, a Kurigram bound passenger loaded three wheeler (JSA) from Ulipur upazila lost its control at Ulipur Halipad area and fall in a road side ditch at noon on Wednesday. Eight passengers were injured. Of them Razia Sultana 27, an officer of Kurigram Rupali Bank was taken to Kurigram Sadar Hospital in a critical condition where the attending doctors declared her dead.
The deceased Razia Sultana was the wife of Musa Miah of Chilmari upazila headquarter.Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Kurigram Sadar Hospital Dr. Nazrul Islam and Manager of Kurigram Rupali Bank Zakir Hossain ensured the incident.In another incident, the roof of an under construction community clinic at Patadhowa area under Mohonganj union of Rajibpur upazila in the district was collapsed which killed an adolescent and injured four children at noon on Wednesday. Eyewitnesses and Hospital sources said five children including an adolescent were watching play staying under the roof of the clinic. Suddenly the roof of the clinic collapsed and injured five. Of them, Aminul Islam 15 was admitted to Rajibpur Upazila Health Complex in a critical condition where the attending doctors declared him dead.
