Two persons were killed in separate incidents in the city on Saturday.
The victims were identified as mason Nur Hossain, 25, and shop employee Manzil Ahmed, 20.Police recovered the body of Nur Hossain from a scrap shop in Kalurghat Moulvibazar area in the city this morning.
Abdur Rauf, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandgaon Police Station said Bashir Ahmed, owner of the scrap shop, found his shop closed from inside.
When the shop owner broke open the door he found Manzil’s body lying on the floor. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue.
The motive behind the murder could not be known immediately.
In another incident, Monzil received serious head injury after falling from a under construction building at Amir Bag area under Chawkbazar thana at 11 am today.
Locals brought him to CMCH where the attending doctors declared Monzil dead.
