Two persons were killed in two separate incidents in the city and district on Tuesday police and hospital sources said.
The victims were identified as Abdul Jobber, 19, son of Abul Kashem, hailed from Sarafbhata area under Rangunia thana in the district and Masud Parvez, 30, son of late Mohosin Miah, hailed from Nobinagar thana of Brammanbaria district.
Police said Jobbar, an employee of HKD International under Korean Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) received serious injuries while a passenger bus hit his rickshaw at KEPZ area under Anwara upazila in the district at 8 am this morning.
Local people rushed him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) at 10 am where the attending doctors declared him dead.
The truck driver and its helper managed to escape from the scene.
