Two persons including a Mason were killed in separate incidents in the city and district on Wednesday.
The victims were identified as Mason Saiful Islam, 32, hailed from Gaibanda district and day labourer Mohammad Solaiman, 52, of Bagherhat district.
Solaiman was electrocuted while collecting green coconut from the tree in Dostirhat area of Satkhania upazila of the district around 10 am. He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead.
Besides, Saiful received severe injuries after falling from an under construction seven-storey building in the city’s Hill View area this morning. Locals brought him to the CMCH where he succumbed to his injuries after admission.
