Two persons were killed in the port city on Monday in separate incidents. Chittagong Medical college Hospital police camp sources said one Md. Joni (26) died of electrocution at Bandartila area under EPZ thana in city at 2 pm on Monday.
Sources said the victim Joni was brought in the hospital after electrocuted while working in the switch board fitting in his room. Joni hails from Kurigsram district and son of one Khorshed Alam.
Meanwhile one Sumon Barua (40) succumbs to his injury at CMC Hospital. CMP sources said the victim Sumon , a mason worker falls down from under constructed 7-storied building while working in 6th floor.
The injured summon immediately rushed to hospital but the attending physicians declared him dead.
Sumon is the son of one Upali Barua of Khagrachari district. The incident occurred at 9 am at Nayahat Bank colony under EPZ thana , sources said. Separate UD cases have been lodged with the concerned police station, sources added.
